Herbal Remedies

Please note that all the herbal remedies written on this site are based on my experiences and the results I have had using the particular herbs. This is not to say that herbs would replace conventional medical treatment.  If you are in any doubt over a medical condition please seek help from your physician.

SHINGLES:  I have had amazing healing with shingles with the use of a product called Agrisept-L.  As far as I am aware, it can only be purchased on line.  At the first indication of Shingles (burning) I take ten to fifteen drops of Agrisept-L in a full cup of water.  Also, I have put 5-10 drops in a cup of water and then dip a washcloth in the solution and then soak the spot.  From start of symptoms to end is usually about 3 to 5 days, with burning gone in one day.

Having had Rheumatic Fever and a heart murmur for almost 45 years, I have not allowed heart flutters and shortness of breath to bother me or stop me from doing things.  However, last year my symptoms became worse and I was forced to go to the hospital.  I was put on an EKG and the results were not good. I was scheduled for a stress test in five weeks.  I went to see a healer friend of mine who suggested that I try Hawthorn and Cayenne Pepper capsules.  It was my initiation into herbs.  She showed me how to do kinesiology and ask my body what it needed.  The first two days I took 3 capsules of Hawthorn and one of cayenne pepper capsules 3x's a day.  The third day I took 3 Hawthorn and one cayenne 2x's with 2 of Hawthorn and 2 of cayenne, etc.  Depending on the stress I was going through determined the amount.  At the end of 5 weeks, the stress test showed no damage to the heart.   

DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY - In a book by Matthew Woods I learned about Wood Betony.  Incredible stuff this herb!!  My husband who is disabled was trying to wean himself (no one should do this without a doctor's supervision) of heavy duty drugs. He went into a psychotic episode.  I tried a dropper of Wood Betony in his juice drink and did this 4 more times during the day.  Within 24 hours he had calmed down considerably.  People new to herbs mistakeningly believe that if a little does a good thing, than a lot of it should do even better.  However, too much of a good thing resulted in his having the opposite effect--instead of being grounded and present--he complained of being flighty, as if he wasn't totally in his body. You might want to muscle test yourself for the correct dosage for you.  Better yet, if you have a doctor who is willing to work with you and this herb, even better.

As a medium, I use Wood Betony when I find myself too flighty.  It helps ground me to the present moment and helps me to stay solid.
